Where to get healthy loaches?

Post by ACOhara » Thu Oct 28, 2010 9:29 pm

Hi -
I am setting up my first loach tank (I've had fish for 15 years, just not loaches) and have done a lot of reading about what species would be appropriate to start with. It is only a 30 gallon tank and I have decided to go with zebra loaches. My problem, there is no local place that I trust to have healthy fish. The trusted business that I went to for years has closed.
I have never bought fish and had them shipped directly to me, but this seems like the only option. I really want to make sure I am buying from a reputable source. Can anyone offer advice on who to buy from and have them shipped to Wisconsin?
Thanks!

I have bought from this company several times and had no problem. Always received good loaches.

Frank's Aquarium is great. Go on his forum so you know when his shipments are coming in. I think he has B. striata (zebras) right now. I thought the price was good.
