I hope this is appropriate to post ...
I am so happy to find this site! It is hard to find accurate information on loaches.
I am the proud mom to 5 golden dojos: Gonzo, Rizzo, Pepe, Fozzie, and Beaker. They're recent family members; I had one for years (when I lived in CA) named Byron, who used to eat out of my hand. He was part of a tropical community tank. My current setup is for the benefit of the muppets, so it's a cold water tank; there are a few guppies in there.
Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you to the owners of this site. It's wonderful!!

So, named after the muppets, eh? Dojo loaches sure are cute enough to deserve those names.
How big is the tank if you don't mind me asking?

Re: Thrilled to find this site!
Thanks for the welcome!
They're in a 60 gallon at the moment. They're all little guys right now. Eventually, when I buy a house next year, I'll go bigger, but I'm in an apartment right now. I do have the room to go bigger if I need to, but I'd prefer to wait for the 150 (or 200, if I can swing it) in a more permanent location.
Glad you got the muppet reference!!
I do have a question ... how much open sand do you think they need? I'm inclined to fill up most of the bottom with hiding places, but I do want to give them areas to roam, bury themselves, etc.
Thanks again!!
