Seriously considering adoption

Post by Pilze » Mon Oct 29, 2012 4:27 pm

This has been a very rough year for my loaches. I lost a lot fish this summer. I blamed it on the heat in summer but I just lost another one yesterday. High TDS is a constant battle and I worry about it a lot. I am seriously considering putting them up for adoption. If you would like to take a look at my videos, here is my Youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/Trompettede ... ature=mhee I will try to post a new video tomorrow. I am not selling the aquarium or leaving the hobby. If you are interested in the loaches, please consider a modest donation so that I can restock my tank.

Thanks.

@ Pilze:
Are you aware that home RO filter systems can be had for around $150? That would solve your TDS problem entirely as the water you add to the tank would be free of all impurities.

Shop around, they are sold at home centers and online. Some can even be hooked up to your existing faucet without any modifications.

Also, many pet stores sell RO filtered water by the gallon if you ask for it.
