If your tank is large enough one of the medium sized Loricariads will be great to eat the flat, stuck-on sorts of algae. A bristlenose Pleco is good, or rubber lip. If you tank is large enough there are some really impressive Loricariads that get a foot long or larger. Do your research, though. Many of these are not really algae eaters, but eat wood or a more omnivorous diet that can often include the slime coat of their tank mates.

For the stringy sorts of algae the Siamese Algae Eater is good. This is not the Chinese Algae eater, nor the Flying Fox. Do some research and make sure you get the right fish. SOme other fish that eat the stringy sorts of algae, and are OK in the cooler tank that Dojos like:
Rosy Barbs
American Flag Fish
38 tanks, 2 ponds over 4000 liters of water to keep clean and fresh.

Happy fish keeping!
