clowns shedding skins

Post by libingboy » Mon Sep 25, 2006 12:57 am

i had to take out all artificial decors this morning since i got a large clown stuck in one of the decors... having spent two hours sawing the decor, i decided to remove all of those with small holes and replaced them with pvc pipes... butt-ugly, but i guess it will do for the meantime...
while moving the decors, i found a large piece of what looked like skin inside one of the decors... it looked like a fillet of a clown loach, really, coz it still had the colors on the skin... all the clowns are accounted for so this cant be the remains of a dead loach... and this piece of skin smelled really, really bad...
anybody noticed something similar with their clowns?

There's been some threads/interest in chemical defenses in Clowns, including slimy discharges during stress/transport and accumulations of stinky goo in areas of frequent hiding.
Interesting to hear that it had colour.
