We do have varying sizes in the baby tank so they are definitely from different spawnings.

Heh, I know I'm biased
but they are sooooo cute and very active. When you look in their tank all you can see is baby loaches moving around everywhere. Especially when there's food in the tank. They also get quite terratorial over who is going to be sitting on the favourite stones.

Lovely image Jim, our tank looks slightly less densely populated but you see the same mass of little loaches swarming over the gravel :-)
Our juveniles have a neat trick of balancing on their noses to grub around in the gravel, very amusing to see the tails stuck right up in clear water as they polish the sides of the gravel. Alas I don't have any pictures showing this behaviour...
The reason I'm not buying a replacement camera this month turned up today:

(Susan will wince when she recognises where it is currently sat...)
I will be plumbing it soon (I am having cunning ideas involving Tunze turbell stream pumps and 2" diameter pipe work...) then we have the fun of emptying the old tank to make room for this 48x18x18" one.
I can see a month of tanks in awkward places until this one is fully set up. That should make December the perfect time to plan a raid on Emma's store :->
