Well, it is not 100% guaranteed, and really only possible with large adult specimens. A female of the same age and length would be much 'taller in the body' and much have a much rounder abdomen. There is a bit of speculation about the tips of the tails, but I'm not so sure about that. I believe that the males have much larger and more deeply forked tails though. If you think about Carp (also from the Order Cypriniformes) the females are noticeably fuller-bodied.Kitishane wrote: You know, I've been curious as to how to tell the genders of clown loaches.
