I don't know why one would want to stick that in the mix with histrionica genes, but it would account for the colour in the pectorals and some races of Skunks have red/orange in the tail too.
Maybe, just because they could. So you end up with an attractively-marked, but aggressive loach that may stay small. Somewhat illogical Captain.....which brings us back to the start of this post.
I'm going to be keeping a photographic record of their development. If they start clicking in Klingon, then we'll know.
