Em...doesn't that odd patterned loach remind you of Hels oddball guy? Especially look at the caudal peduncle markings and caudal patterning.

I remember one of my Botia rostrata's changing into something like Helen's loach but not as near with the markings. I've searched my computer and found these old old images. First is juvenile, second is adult.

Now we see many solid twin barred Botia rostrata specimens compared to my old picture. Not to mention the others....
