One thing that helps is to drain off the excess liquid. I let all the frozen foods I am going to use, thaw out overnight in the fridge. I put a small piece of paper towel in with the stuff and it soaks up the liquid as it thaws. In the morning you have the food already drained. The brine seems to hold together better this way, but, as I said, you still get a fair amount of the stuff floating away. Placing it in a lower flow or sheltered area helps. The dithers will soon figure this out and wait nearby for brine to pick off any floating brine.

Jim,
Thank you for the detailed instructions. I'll get it and try. (I used to buy this brand in the past but found that most of my Botia's only take non-spirulina kind, and forgot about it.)
Hi Les,
Thanks, but unfortunately Interpet seems to be UK/IE only. I'll ask at the store about something similar --- "gooey and sticky" sounds very promising.
I saw the new Chenis catching and eating strands of regular frozen shrimp, so I'm not worried about them starving, but any new/better food would be nice.
(Sadly, there are five of them -- not six. One made it for only three days...just enough for me to post and say how great things are. Of course, it had to be the most attractive one, too
The others, fingers-still-crossed, are doing fine for almost three weeks now, so I do think I finally have some Chenis here.)
