Confused Gastromyzon

Post by Setsuna » Sat Dec 09, 2006 6:40 am

Hey all.

I was just looking at the species index to try and identify my hillstream when I spotted this comparison picture. Image

My hillstream has the dorsal markings of G. Ctenocephalus (bottom image), yet has the caudal markings of G.Scitulus. Could mine be a different strain of Gastromyzon, or is she just confused?

I'll try and get a photo of her once I work out how my new camera works (early birthday present ^_^).

Actually, those pictures were taken a while back with probably relatively young fish. I have some "scitulus" which have some blue spots in the dorsal.

Martin.
Image Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.

So, shes probably an older scitulus then. Its not really that important, I just wanted to know. Thanks Martin ^_^
