Actually I cant remember if it was today he was going for his birthday lunch and booze-up.

Pardon my honesty - I am a Northerner

Hoovering - what's that then?!
Heheheh! Do you know, I can just see it!
I don't expect we'll hear too much from him today then - he told me that he reckons it usually takes him a couple of days to recover from a trip down here, and if he visited yesterday and is now out having a booze up, it might take him longer than usual to recover!!!
Of course, he might put in a Yodaspeak appearance later....

Hi ya's!
I have to say it was great to meet up with everyone again. Lovely day! I was trying to post a reply on Friday night but my Internet went all crappy.
I'm good now though (with a heavy hangover) *hic*
A big thank you for the Birthday cake Helen/Emma. It was wonderful!!
I still have a sugar buzz from it.
Martin, i hope you also had a great B-day weekend. I must admit that this was a special weekend with my Loachy birthday cake and seeing my older brother after 12 yrs and a Large boozy session. My apologies for any yoda-speak as i'm nursing a mayor hangover.
Now what loaches/fish did i take home. Let me see.....
3x Schistura sp aff balteata
3x Homaloptera gymnogaster
3x Homaloptera confuzona
12x Rosy Loach
3x Sinibotia robusta
1x Garra flavatra
5x Punitius pentazona
3x Sewellia lineolata (Emma's little babys)
6x Pseudogastromyzon cheni (Les's little babys)
Oh! and i did receive another prezzy from Emma!
3 more loaches! Here>>

I'll post pictures soon. All loaches are in great condition and settling really well in their new environments.

That's because of your hangover! There were witnesses. We remember it all!Graeme Robson wrote:What coffee mug? I don't remember anything........
That's great news. The activity level in my River Tank has certainly stepped up a notch after the addition of the little 'uns.Graeme Robson wrote:Emma, the baby Sewelia are settling in great. Very active and looking happy. Pity they are hard to capture on camera at the moment. But i will try!

Sorry I could not be there on friday, I was entertaining and acting as tour guide to some guests from Spain. Great Birthday cake!!
We will have to come over again once the river tank is up and running to actually purchase inhabitants for it.
I helped and hindered LES.. in his catching of the baby Cheni in the morning (then went back to bed for a bit - too early) like Emma I was also sad to see the babies go, but I know they are going to good homes and will be well looked after.
The ones left (about 10 I think including 2 very tiny ones) are now competing to see who is stronger and who owns the stones!
The resident Guildford Stud (Pepper) has been starting to chase the females again this week and we discovered 3 tiny babies when moving the tank over to make way for the "Loach Heaven" tank last weekend.
We are pretty sure that all those babies are from the original Alpha male Pepper (quite large with a lovely red dorsal fin and brown stripes) and Spice (smallest female with a wide range of chameleon colouring from nearly black to light brown with a square on her back and a lovely green and red fin). Some of the babies have picked up Spice's pattern and have a sort of square or oblong on their backs too.
Thanks Emma, for trusting us by putting them straight in one of the tanks with the Sewellia. Hopefully we have given them a good start in life. I was amused to hear of their antics in their new location in the shop.
Thanks Graeme for the picture of the baby settling in. It looks like it has very similar colouring to the Father.
