Can anyone shed any light on fish growth being stunted like that? Its just I'm not so sure your fish are stunted brett_fishman.....I see mine going through various growth spurts. They'll not grow much for a while then suddenly, almost overnight, become much larger.

hmm..well when i got them, they were TINY..maybe 1.5" long..then they grew to 2.5" in a couple months and havent grown since..

i HAVE noticed, however, their skin patterns are changing...from the very nice, clear 'YOYO' and now the 'YOYO' isnt as noticable...as you can see in THESE yoyos.

How long have they stayed that size? My younger three have been about 3" for a few months now. My older two were that size for a long time then suddenly shot up an inch in the space of a couple weeks.

I must say I'm stunned that Kaz's fish have stayed that small after a whole year.....

EDIT: looking back at those old pics Tank Pic (even though the tank has been up for 6 years) im amazed i could be that dumb...my stocking list in october of 05:
-1 golden barb (2.5")
-2 swordtails (3-3.5")
-2 platys (2.5")
-2 corys (2.5")
-2 yoyo loaches (1.5")

what a stupid collection for a 10g.

:) Hi yea, tricky decision. Praps go with 8 new ones n leave your little ones on their own??? Only you can decide, oh yes! :)

Im moving house soon (ish) n i have had a plan of setting up a 112litre tank in the new place, getting it going, and when i finally move myself in, transferring my lot into the new tank. I thought i could keep my current tank for my tetras or as a quarantine tank for newcomers. Im quite excited! Oh, and i cant quite stretch to 45(uk)gallon55(us)g tank as yet, unfortunately. :(
