Clown loach wanted

Post by pcr4blunttopo » Sun Jan 07, 2007 5:38 pm

Hey, I am in Boston. I am thinking to add more clown loaches in my community tank.

But I checked the LFS, petco, petsmart and also walmart. Their clown loaches are all not very healthy. They are not orange/black at all, fade as white and black, too thin and some even have white spots on the body and fin (ICK).

Since saw one post here said that he wanted to sell his yoyo loach. So I am wondering is there anyone who want to sell his clown loach and happen to be around Boston? If yes, please let me know by email at

pcr4blunttopo@yahoo.com

thanks

Care to take a trip to NJ? I have a nice sized (7"+) clown and some smaller, interesting patterned clowns that need a good home...

what's your tank parameters and how long have you been keeping loaches?

I was in Jersey on Saturday. Shark Aquarium in Hillside. Got 3 wild caught bleeding Hearts,3 wild caught hemmigrammus Ulreyi and 3 Corydoras Tretlii. I love that place.

Have you tried Tropic Isle in Framingham? They usually have clowns in a couple sizes.

Thanks!

But maybe I will not take a trip to NJ recently. I am so busy in my work. :(

I kept loach for just several months and the parameters are:

55 gallon, pH 7.2, Ammonia 0ppm, nitrite 0ppm, nitrate 20ppm, with some rocks and plants.

What I have in the tank: a pair of guppies, a pair of swardtails, 4 big mollies, 2 sharks (3 inches), 4 corys and only 2 clown loaches (2-3 inches, that why I want to add some more clowns right now).

thanks a lot!
