Pictures of my khuli loaches!

Post by mr white » Wed Jan 24, 2007 4:53 pm

... and my other two fishingtons!

this is my silly khuli loach who chose an interesting place to take a rest!
Image

this is almost a group photo - if only my catfish hadn't decided not to leave his driftwood abode. My catfish is yet nameless. Instead of choosing one name for each khuli, because I can never tell them apart, I've collectively names them The Crazy 88 (from Kill Bill), although there's only 4. I'd love to have a huge tank with 88 khuli's though. <3 also, my red fin shark is named Patooti! I'm upgrading to an uberfancy 70 gallon around June. I cannot wait! Yes, I *conveniently* pointed out where evryone was! :D

unfortunately my camera is a lesser pricey HP model, so these are not stellar. hopefully I will get some more pictures up soon!

How big is your tank? You certainly seem to have lots of hidey-holes and those loaches look fat and sassy.

That is my current 20 gallon tank, in ops until I get the 70 gallon, actually possible in a couple months time. I actually only got that 20g around Christmas
Also, today I got a Chinese algae eater!! He's super cool, and I named him Bowser! (After Bowser from Super Mario Bros. of course!)
My red fin seems to really enjoy swimming around with him and they both like to clean up the sides of the tank together. However, as soon as Bowser heads into Patooti's pots, he boots him out. He's friendly, but not that friendly! :D
He also gets along great with my catfish and the Crazy 88. Fortunately, he hasn't tried to latch on to anyone's side yet, and hopefully never will. Luckily all my fish are aggressive and won't take flack from him. And the khuli's are far too quick for him! Hopefully I will get a reply up soon with his photo!
Thanks for the comments on my fishies, I try my best to keep them in top shape! I love going out and buying new foods for them. I got algae tabs just yesterday in fact. I also put a bubble... well, it's like a long, heavy bubble wall that's anchored on it's own so no need for suction cups. Helps rid of those badder gases!
Hoping to get another photo up soon!

really? they work fine over here! pretty sad there's a difference across town, but it's probably just 1 000 year old Komodo. You should really set up your new computer.
I LOVE WHISKERS ON PICTUS CATS. I wonder what fish has even BIGGER barbels??

I wanted to buy the whole tank when I went to the LFS! they had 26, and some of them would circle around the side while the others would hide under the rock. It was lots of fun to watch. Mine are always active, there's always at least one on the go somewhere and I have 4! So I can imagine how your tank must look! :D

LOL! Nevermind, they're working now!
Have have some kuhli's as well, they're equally insane!
I have one yellow&black striped kuhli and the rest are black kuhli's.
Always on the move. They're so entertaining!

so they're black ones from PetCity here? I wasn't sure, I saw brown ones as well... or are they the same and called depending on their actual, literal color? I want one like your stripey one!

They just so happen to have a ton of names... LOL they can be chocolate, black, brown kuhli's, no matter the shade. Even your peach one would have been considered a black kuhli
