You need to go bigger than 20 gallons for Weather Loaches.

hate to hijack this thread, but perhaps Emma you can answer this question I have about dojo/weather loaches? They grow to 10 inches, how deep do they get? I can't imagine them getting too deep. and what tank size would you consider ideal?
one redfin, one albino redfin, one kuhli loach, one horseface loach, one pleco, one clown pleco, two upside down catfish, two bala sharks in 77 gallons.
more kuhlis and horsefaces soon, hopefully.

Mature specimens can be fairly deep, and I've seen some 'biggies' with a depth of over 1.5". I'd say a 4ft tank would be the absolute minimum size for a group of juveniles, and I'd like to think of them going into a 5ft+ tank when adult. It's not like these are sedentry fish, they have bouts of very erratic swimming behaviour and are capable of surprising bursts of speed. For this reason, the longer and wider the tank, the better. :wink:
