Clowns Eating Frogs

Post by YellowFinned » Sat Mar 31, 2007 9:58 pm

I get frogs for the tiger fish. The last four months they have not been available, but I just got a batch of three hundred one inch frogs. Most of them got eaten over night, and even the cichlid got a taste for them.

This morning I watched as one froggy escaped from the mouth, injured and dazed. One of the clown loaches, not the biggest, struck in and grabbed the frog. Of course, he could not fit it into his mouth, but there was loach pandemonium as all the clowns fought over and ripped apart the frog.

A few months ago, when I had added frogs, there had always been a few dead, regurgitated, rejected frogs that I had to remove. Today there were none. I think my clowns have got the taste for frog meat.

Add frogs onto the diet list of clown loaches.
