Martin, Emma, Jim and any other hillstream keepers

It may be time to prepare a Hillstream care sheet for those who keep them to bring to their local LFS's. Seems there's alot of misinformation out there regarding these fish and it would be nice to have something like the Clown poster that could be printed off for those who find themselves at their local shops seeing Hillstreams/Brook loaches being sold without proper information.

Like saphphx found recently, even some fishkeepers who usually have good information regarding most fish may not be aware of the needs of hillstreams...

Just a thought.

Didn't mikev and a few others put something like this together a while back? It would certainly be worthwhile. I've recently done my bit by highlighting their needs on the M/A fish databank, which I hope will be of help. Nothing like as in-depth as the LOL species index, but a general description covering sucker-bodied hillies as a whole.

Thats an awesome idea Shari2. Even if it means that most LFS wont stock them anymore because they "can't be bothered" to set up a river tank.

One of my LFS has stopped getting them in a)because theyre too hard to catch, and b) because I told them about their requirements. However she has told me when my RT is setup she will order the exact number and species I want and I'll get them straight from her supplier.

Filelodge has a time limit, and now I cannot access it at all.
I do still have the fliers, maybe best if I email them to someone here and you put them to some permanent place?

I run a webserver from my house (my website is actually running off the 'puter sitting by me) and I could always host any valuable info on my server for free for a good cause.
