That's Hillstream Heaven!
Very cool, LES...
I actually think all the plants look pretty good in there. You'll have to take some more vids so that we can see them swaying about in the strong current.
With regards to the lighting and temperature issue, we had the same problem last year, which was very troublesome during the hot weather we had. In the end, we just took the wooden hood off of the tank to allow the heat to escape more easily and also reduced the photo period of the lighting. The tank might not have looked quite so neat with the hood off for several weeks, but it did help with the temperature. Our tank has coverslides, so there was no issue with fish jumping/escaping.
Oh and I'm glad to hear that rinsing the sponge pad isn't too problematic either!

I am in the process of getting a sensible stream from the web cam but in the mean time you can see what the fish make of the current.Emma Turner wrote:You'll have to take some more vids so that we can see them swaying about in the strong current.
There is lots of activity in the tank and we have seen at least one spawning pit dug :-) The introduction of the rabble even forced the Wui out under the moon light late in the evening although he was still very secretive.

WOW. Les, that tank looks amazing. you must be so pleased, after the amount of time it has taken to get to this point. it sounds like you hillies are loving it, too

best of luck with choosing.

Well it was asked for... a particularly poor video showing the plants moving.
If i can get the web cam working properly i might even post a link to a live feed!
