Hillstream Transfer
The 8 Walmart hillies have been in the 5 gal hex Q tank for about two and a half months now so I'm toying with the idea of moving them into the 30 gal tank with the 4 Sewellia that are in there now. I lost one in the 30 about a month ago with no visible signs of a problem and no other fatalities.
They have been through a deworming treatment along with a couple rounds of fungus treatment during that time.
Am I pushing it or have I done my due dilligence? I know they they would like the room since the hex isn't that roomy. There is also a bit more current in the 30 that I'm sure they would enjoy.

I've got a local source for hillstreams now. I've been working on a website for a local retailer and he's got a source and he's just waiting for the word, I'm doing the barter thing and he's giving them to me at cost and after I saw them go for on aquabid...$47 for 6, plus shipping.
I'm not sure exactly what they are, but we'll see. I have my new camera and these don't seem to be too shy, but we'll see when they get into the new tank.
I didn't have alot of luck in my 10 gal Q tank, I lost all but two out of 6...
In the 5 gal though, I managed to 7 out of the eight...go figure. Its almost full of plants and snails. I use it to provide snails for the 40 gal. The yoyos and zebras will be glad to get their snail supply back. Its a feeding frenzy when I drop them in the 40...
Sounds like the consensus is to go ahead with the move. I'll post pics when I get a chance.
Cheers,
Kevin
