Annamia normani additions

Post by Emma Turner » Thu May 10, 2007 12:28 pm

I added 4 Annamia normani to the River Tank last night after toying with the idea for a while. I picked what I believe to be 2 females and 2 males. Here are a few pics of three of them taken earlier today:

Group shot showing 3 of them (the 4th one was hiding round the side  )

Two large females on the cobbles (male just in shot to the left)

Big beautiful lady

You can really see the depth of the front female in this one

What I presume is a male

Hope you liked them!

Lovely fish Em :)

What are the chances of these eating your Sewellia eggs :?:

Thanks Mark. :D Not sure about the egg-eating, but I think that lone adult Schistura balteata still poses the most threat. Still, I've always got the external filter to (hopefully) collect more eggs again should I be lucky enough!

Very nice. I like those rocks. I have a couple in my tanks, but they are very hard to come by.

Actually. I managed to get similar ones at my local Ace hardware in their outside landscaping...they had lots of different kinds and shapes and sizes of rocks. The ones I got were "river stone, large".

These are 'Scottish cobbles' bought from a local garden centre (not the one our shop is in ....I'm a traitor!)
