I don't have a lot of time ATM but just real quick I'd like to know if anyone has seen anything like what I'm (unfortunately) dealing with.
There is a little bit of slime coat disturbance around the face and head of a few barbs and loaches.
Gills on several barbs and one loach look red and inflamed.
On one barb the gill plate looks sunken.
On another barb the head behind the eye looks sunken.
A few barbs and gouramis look like they are losing a little bit of weight.
Activity is normal.
Several yoyo loaches have died within hours of beginning to act lethargic.
Does this list of symptoms look familiar?

Sorry to hear this, Tammy,
While the exact set of symptoms is not something I've seen, it feels like a bacterial infection, and an active one. I'd consider hitting the tank with antibiotics. If nobody recognizes the infection, a good drug to try is Furan2, others will suggest M2 (minocycline). Either one is often effective and is gentle on the biofilter.
Good luck!

Hi Mike.
I did. I don't know if you remember suggesting that before or not but I took your advice and picked some up. Unfortunately it killed all my plants because I was stupid enough to use it without reading up on how it affects plants. Doh!
I was pretty angry with myself about that. And I had to do a million water changes to make sure the dying plants weren't affecting the fish. Anyways I medicated as directed and it didn't seem to make any difference.

I'm pretty sure that is the same thing I saw in MY plecos gills a while back, although mine is a rubbernose, not a bristlenose.
I just don't know what to do. I'm down to my last yoyo. Four have died. And the striata died, too. I don't see clout in the store here although it looks like it wouldn't be a good idea anyways. I'm thinking about treating with some mal green/formalin.
Or hopefully someone will still recognize something about the list of symptoms.

On Furan2: I'm really sorry about the plants. I use it heavily and never had a problem. OTOH, if the disease is not bacterial. it will obviously will not do much good.
Unfortunately, without a correct diagnosis one is shooting in the dark. I suggested Furan since it seemed bacterial, and I usually get good results with it.
If you really think it is gill flukes, there is another cheap med around: Fluke Tabs. It actually works, but (1) it will likely exterminate the snails and (2) it may kill some fish. You may want to Google about it first. In general, any *benzadole drug should work, within 3-4 days, but Fluke Tabs is the most accessible. There is another way, but it will cost about $70 and take a week, so unless you are sure you have some kind of worm involved, it is probably not worth it.
And I'm really sorry to hear that the problem is not solved yet.
