Hello all

Post by Whitey_MacLeod » Fri May 18, 2007 11:30 am

A few months back, I picked up a couple of "Chinese Butterfly Plecos" from Pets at Home for my 10G coldwater tank. Luckily, I found this site :D
I've finally got the new river tank just how I like it, and I thought it was time to come back and say a very big thank you to everyone involved in this site. I've learnt a huge ammount about good fishkeeping from reading these forums, and my fish certainly feel the benefit. I've kept fish in small tanks for years, but you guys have managed to get me properly hooked

A few (not very good) pictures:

River tank- 7 P. Cheni, 8 Rasbora Dorsiocellata, 3 WCMM (babies coming soon!)

Many thanks, all of you. I've had the ghostie since it was about an inch and a half, and he's now about 7" TL. He's getting a bit big for his tank, so he'll be moving this year into a 20' pond. I'm going to miss him :(

Hi Whitey,

Welcome to a fellow Sheffielder! :D

You have some lovely P.Cheni and a fabulous Ghost Koi there. How old is Mark the Ghost Koi?

I'm a Sheffield ex-pat so to speak. Currently living in Guildford, many miles away - but my parents are still in Sheffield. They have a mad Canary Goldfish that has jumped out of the tank a few times!

Whereabouts in Sheffield are you?

Hey all :D

dlenn- I'm currently living in Wyborn, just up the hill from the Hyde Park tram stop, but I first moved here for university, so I've got about a bit. I lived in Crookes for a while, then Walkley, and then up City Road before I moved here. I grew up in Crewe, which is a bit of a dump compared to Sheffield. I love the way I'm never far from a park here.

I've had Mark for about 3 years- he's moved out now into a mate's grandad's pond. I miss the big guy :(

Thanks for all the nice comments- and LoachOrgy, you can never have too many bubbles
