what kind of loach

Post by mousey » Thu Mar 09, 2006 10:57 pm

seen in big Al's, a very long silver color loach-- actually a whole tank of them. they are probably about 8-9 inches long and very thin. Since i was unable to get on the floor to see them closely i was not able to tell if they had any markings.
Any ideas.

If you had not mentioned 8-9" I would have hazarded a guess at Pangio anguillaris, which can look quite silvery when unsettled in a dealer's tank.

But there's no way that get remotely that big.

Are you sure they're loaches? I can't think of anything off the top of my head that fits that description.

Martin.
