You've gone a bit mad with the pics today, MD! (not that I'm complaining).

I love the markings on that B. rostrata (the one with the solid gaps), it reminds me a bit of that loach Helen had been after. I'm thinking the fish below it is a B. kubotai, but it does look a bit different to the norm.....(opens can of worms).....

And your "Squiggly Striata" is just as beautiful as Helen's (which is now available to view on the B. striata species profile for those who are interested).

We've had loads of work done in the house lately so Ive either been really busy or sat waiting for work to be finished so I have had time to kill taking plenty of photos

I have serious problem trying to decide which one I like the most.

I will go through entire species index on this site I promisse, but anyway a question.

I am looking for a loach, that is not maintained in groups (live solitaire life ), don`t need a strong river current and will feel fine in 79 (us gallons) tank, well planted, lot of hiding places, medium hard water, ph 7. Tank would be shared with 5 clown loaches, 6 pearl gouramies and 3 siamese alge eaters.

So, is there any kind of loach out there that coud be described as such? I personally don`t think so, but I am a relative beginer, so...question cant hurt and species index will take me 3-4 hours so...

I really dont want to overcrowd my tank that mostly belong and is ruled by clown loaches ( I did consider 5 dwarf loaches for a while...but dont know how would they interact with clown loaches )

ded1 rather than three sids you may consider three kubotai. it would be preferred if you had at least five, but ive kept three kubotai before and they did fine and had good personalities, lived healthy, etc. they were young then though.

There are certain species of Schistura that would be housed on their own due to aggression levels towards their own kind, instead of another Loach have you considered a Garra spaecies, Flying Fox or maybe even a Ruby Shark or something similar.

I did, I adore them, but somehow I am not sure how would they get along with Clown Loaches (?), and I am not sure if my tank has enough room for both loaches communities?

I did consider Ruby Shark Epalzeorhynchos frenatus ( you really got me there ), but i always read about them, how agressive they are when get a bit older? Now, I have no experiance with them at all, just info I am reading about them states so?
Are they less agressive than Epalzeorhynchos bicolor ( Red tailed black shark )?
