Left Spot,Right Spot and No Spot
These are three of my loaches and one of their tank-mates, Any complaints about the glass can be made to the Ruby Pleco
that has that task . The bird at the end yelling at me is Chico my Jenday Conure. The sound in the background is my system running. PLEASE Remember I am a simple fish keeper, not as complete as many here with plants and back-grounds, this is a 44 second clip or so.You may notice my sand is really coming to life . The debris is the bits that fall in with the earthworms as I fed just before I shot this (with my new camera)..... The Bicher is at least 13" and the pipe is a 4" PVC for reference. We start with 1.5" loaches here in the States, these three are about 5 years old or so Tinman

Hey Ruby! You missed a 'spot'!
Sorry- couldn't resist!
Bichers are predators. Mine have eaten all the Guppy fry when they were young. When they got started on the Guppy parents I moved them to a tank with nothing smaller than they were.
They are escape artists, though, and in spite of screening the openings they went over the wall one night. They do eat similar food to the Clowns: Omega One shrimp pellets are the favorites of most bottom dwellers in my tanks.

38 tanks, 2 ponds over 4000 liters of water to keep clean and fresh.
Happy fish keeping!

Tinman,
I was able to view your videos this morning ( have to wait my turn for computer time--kids have a new game
. ) Great video! I like the sound of your system in the background; it reminds me of a rushing stream or waterfall and is very relaxing to listen to.
I also viewed your photo 'system face' while I was there. Lots of tanks!!!

The Bichir seems to like the company,no problems at all. But I added a shoal of 12 Golden tinfoil barbs @3-4 inch long and soon I had 8, so I moved my X-large Bala and added 4 then I had 7 so I moved my X-Large Rapheal and then I had 8.I then added 5 Then I watched in the dark and the Bicher was hanging like a reed at about a 50 degree angle so I had my culprit...I moved the shoal in with my 5 full grown Silver Dollars and am getting them up to 5"-7" or so and I will put them back then. The Rapheal is back in so he can be fed now. I will not move the Bicher as the Clowns love the company,They will throw their barbs out and herd him up so they are always next to or behind him. They have been together about 4 years,I think I was wrong about the Clowns age though,They may be closer to ten.....It is so hard to keep track....
Loachmom, this is down-sized .I used to have way to many. My system is 27 feet long now with 4 more on the back side. I have 8 in the basement and one baby tank upstairs. This is right about 1000 gallons total downstairs. I have a Family room with a spot for a 8' plus tank that would go in the spot I took that picture you referenced but I may have to put in concrete piers for the weight. I just passed on a 400 a couple of months ago for a 1000.00 as the timing was wrong and it was scratched somewhat. I am limited by my door size and Wife. When my Clowns need the room they will get it though. My large knife will go and that 7' tank will be a loach tank first. He is about 12 or so now and about outstayed my wifes welcome($2.89 a day in worms)She wants to filet my pet
