MOVED - Question about Clown pattern variation

Post by BlueFrog » Sat Jul 07, 2007 10:02 am

I found this little guy a couple nights ago at a LFS, so had to bring him home. I've been trying to read and learn as much as I can about loaches so i can keep these little guys happy (and this site has been invaluable - thanks!)

I've been trying to ID what his pattern might be from the Colour Variationpage. The best I can come up with is a 3rd stripe fragmentation combined with a second stripe top and belly spot. The pattern is only on the one side however, the other side is the normal 3-stripe pattern -- would this be accurate?

.. unless he's trying really hard to be a 4-stripe loach or something ;)

his name is Bob.

And I ended up with about 25 pictures of him doing this - i assume its the 'stop trying to take my picture' pose

Nice patterning. Yes, it's a sort of combination of more regularly seen amomolies.

Martin.
