Despite all the death and ups and downs recently, My alpha loach was extra playful tonight. What a sad night. But hopefully this will make it more cheerful.

I'm saddened. I feel your pain LO. I guess laying down on it's side with rapid breathing was a bad sign. I don't think there was anything you could of done because the gill damage was probably already critical at that point. There is no way to know this without hindsight.
