Photos of young clown loaches establishing pecking order

Post by bslindgren » Sat Jul 14, 2007 12:21 am

I took these shots of two of my small (~1 inch) clowns one day when they were trying to one-up one another. The colours are a bit off in some photos, because I am still learning how to use my equipment, so I had to do some adjustments in Photoshop. The bluish spots in the background are bubbles from the air stone. The equipment I used for these were just a Canon Rebel 300D with a 100 mm macro lens and the built-in flash on manual. I underexposed all pictures in order to get the desired depth of field. I'll post other pictures later taken with the same camera, but with a Canon Macro Twin Lite MT-24EX, which adjusts the flash as required.
