The only thing I heard about table salt is that it has anti caking agents in it. I don't think or know if it can do harm to fish though. Canning Salt doesn't have any additives though, that's why I use it. Kosher Salt would be good also.

I use Kosher salt to brew brine shrimp or if I ever need salt in a tank for some reason.
Cheap. Clean. Easy to get.

Kosher salt it is then, thanks for the recommednation. I'll go out today and see if I can find any (Philly is notoriously understocked on grocery-type items).
