Those are not wimpy movies, Rich...a love story like '50 First Dates' is one of the best- exhausting, in it's way, funny and joyful and tearful and makes you wonder just how strong you'd be in that kind of situation. Exhausting, but nice- just like the real thing.

Same with 'Love Actually'. You're not a wimp, IMHO- just a hopeless romantic. Nothing wrong with that!

Yes Some Like It Hot is brilliant.

I've seen The Last Samurai rich and enjoyed it. I'm a sucker for a good Samurai movie though Indeed, Ken Watanabe is a fine actor. Somewhat in the Toshiro Mifuni mould.

I'm not into sport movies, but Remember The Titans is a good movie IMO. Of course, while on the subject of sports movies I'd have to include Slapshot and Tin Cup.

I have absolutely no interest in golf but I love Tin Cup. The relationships between the characters are brilliant and funny and Rene Russo can have the top off my egg at breakfast anyday she wants

OMG! How on earth did I forget Local Hero? I love, love, love this film. It has immense charm and humour and any soundtrack by Mark Knopfler gets my vote....brilliant!

If you only ever rent one DVD rent this one.

V for Vendetta. Sort of a 1984 takeoff but much different. Even has John Hurt, though this time he's more of a Big Brother role then a Winston Smith. Loved Natalie Portman in this flick.

I just rented a bunch of movies last week including Shooter.. I would say its worth renting.. Of the entire lot I rented I would say Shooter was the best..

Shooter has all the elements of a great movie... Which are

Violence
Retaliation for violence, perpetuating even more grand violence
Cleavage
A scene in which there is no reason or explanation why a girl is shirtless.. But she is, and for that you give thanks
Car Chases...

I like Signs because it was relatively scary and it didn't reply on special effects. You may not have liked it because of the religious overtones.
