new tank

Yes, I'm very happy--love the black sand look. Of course, lots of reorganization awaits, but the general setup is a giant improvement. One task for the day--I bought the 4 foot backing at petsmart yesterday--which was cut 1 inch short! argh.

goosebumps has a 20g penguin filter running with just biowheel (sans carbon/mechanical filter). I have a submersible filter I'll be cleaning up and getting in tonight to add some mechanical filtration for him. I'll definitely be keeping close eye on his water quality.

My s.o. lives in Salt Lake and I've been a travelling fool, just trying to keep everything healthy while I'm away for weekends (that is what roommate is for!).

Pix soon, hopefully next week. I DID take the before pix of the old tank with gravel, so I'll be able to show comparison.
