Help , Hillstream Loaches ID

Post by HeroesFreak » Sat Sep 22, 2007 11:37 am

Hi,

I'm new here on this forum. My name is Margreet and I'm from the Netherlands. Since 4 month's I've got 4 Hillstream Loaches. The guy who sold me the loaches said they were Beaufortia (Kwelchowensis) Leverreti, but I knew from the start they weren't.

I've search & checked the web so I could ID them. I just wanted to check it with you guys/girls.

I bought them in 2 pairs. I think number 1&2 are "Gastromyzon zebrinus", and number 3&4 are "Gastromyzon ctenocepthalus".
I'm almost sure 3 & 4 are ctenocepthales, the tail gets beautifull blue.

1 does look like Gastromyzon zebrinus

2 could be Gastromyzon cranbrooki

3 & 4 do look very much like Gastromyzon ctenocephalus

Hi and welcome to LOL. I tagged all your URL's with the img code so the pictures would appear in-post. I agree with Mark on the ID's.

Martin.
Image Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.
