Can Kubotai co-exhist with cory cats

Post by gordie187 » Sat Sep 29, 2007 4:43 pm

stupid newbee question...

I currently have seven cory cats, and am looking to purchase some Kubotai loaches. Can anyone tell me if cory cats can peacefully live with Kubotais. Thanks.

Absolutely! I have corys and kubotais, and they pretty much ignore each other. Kubotai is an excellent choice btw!

I have a bunch of Corydoras aneus who've been living with Clowns, kubotais, histrionicas, dario, etc with no problem for 2 years.

Martin.

Likewise, I have Sterbai that I used to keep with my clowns until they (sterbai) were ready to breed.

As always, there is a risk. I have heard of Botias harrasing cories because they are so inquistive . I have also been keeping Clown Loaches with C. aeneus so far without problems. I have noticed the cories hide a lot more, even though they are 3" and full grown. All it takes is the one Botia with a really bad attitude to do some damage, because the cories can not defend themselves that well.
