I have had clowns for nearly 10 years now and recently set up an old 30 gal tank. I threw in 5 1.5 in clowns and things were fine for a few weeks. For the past 4 days I noticed that the are always squabbling normally after feeding. My other loaches fought but, not like this is there a reason why? well any info would be greatly appreciated

They are just settling who the boss is. It's normal, and they won't hurt eac h other. It may be that the new tank upset the balance so they have to reconfigure the pecking order. A 30 gal for clowns will be too small - the experts on this site recommend a 130 gal (6 foot tank) since clowns grow to a foot or more.
Anyway, welcome to the forum - you have hit loach pay-dirt!

Re: Hello
Hello, glad to see another clown loach keeper here. Show us Pic's Pic's Pic's. I'd love to see your 10 year old clowns.undergroundfish wrote:I have had clowns for nearly 10 years now....
It sounds like clowns. My clowns sometimes wake me up at night when they are clicking at each other. Usually the loser ends up swimming over to another tank. It's normal behavior for them to challenge each other.
Here's a link to a video of my set-up.

I've made a few changes here and there since I made the video.
