my loach has an air bubble???

my poor loach just died it started with rapid breathing then i noticed his stomach was servely bloated...with in three days he was dead. :( know i have another loach with the rapid breathing but i havent noticed any bloating i am really scared for him in my tank are 8 mixed cichlids,4 gouramies, and now 5 loachs, my ph is at about 7-7.2 evrery thing else is normal except my nitrates are alittle high but they have been since day one my water temp is 81 and i do a 10% water change in the middle of the month and ussally 25-50% at the end it is a 55gallon tank oh yea before my last loach died he was swimming like an airplane out of control like in a crazy spirel ..................please help i really love these fish :(

this reminded me of a ballon that gets away when a person is blowing it up.
