Emma- A dither fish article will be very valuable.
Martin- Your written, unwritten list of "Things we need" is excellent.
Another possible idea is an article about stocking levels. There seems to be a fairly wide range of opinions on this topic. It is further complicated by the fact that the amount of filtering, the water changes, the dither fish, and the future size of the fish has a large impact on what is acceptable and also what will be acceptable, as the fish grow, 10 years down the road. Some general information such as, a minimal 5 clown loaches should have x gallons and y square feet of footprint with a minimum of 4 times water turnover per hour. If the water turnover per hour is 15 times, and you have a way to handle power outages, then 8 clown loaches could be housed in the tank. That is just an example, but I think that it could be quite useful to have some general guidelines about minimum and maximum stocking levels for some of the more common loaches.
