Frozen Lobster Eggs..

Today was the first time in years that i've seen some Frozen lobster eggs for sale. After i soaked a few cubes in a cup of tank water, i poured some into my tanks with the smaller species of Loaches. The little chaps went nuts for them, swimming all over the place gulping what they could find. Then i tried some of the larger Loach species with some and they glided around sucking up all that they could find. The Lobster eggs get a thumbs up from me and the Loaches (plus other fish). I only purchased two packets to see how they reacted, it looks like i will be purchasing more.... :D

Nice, havent ever seen them for sale in the states, let alone any fish or crustacean eggs.

Clowns-6 is a group and more is never too many, providing the aquarium is large enough.

I have been getting lobster eggs off my suplier for around 10 months and all my loaches go nuts for them, they seem to be a favourite of the Sewellia's 8)

My loaches also like the Malawi vegatarian mix.

I have to try lobster eggs one day if I can find them. Sounds like a fun feed.

I've been feeding mine some cocktail shrimp myself. They go so mad for it that one of my Kubotai braved stealing some shrimp from my Alpha clown. Thankfully Zoidberg is such a gentle fish and instead, went and found a new piece.

I checked Ocean Nutrition's website- they're not available in the US :(

Cool, I'll have to keep an eye out. I've been thinking of trying the malawi mix already- my loaches don't get a lot of different veg because I don't eat a lot myself, and it's not cost effective to buy whole veg for a few small fish.

Hi Whitey, The guy who I gave you the link for who does the flake also does all the Ruto frozen foods and they are way cheaper than most shops and he posts them out for over night delivery as well, he has a massive selection of frozen foods.

Mark, would you mind giving me the link to the man who posts out frozen foods? mine gobble up bloodworm too quickly, and lobster eggs sound like theyd go down well too :D

do you remember when we had a loach meet and you brought some sample packets of pellet foods for us to try? i have forgotten who sold that, and want to get some more.

loaches whose owners come here are probably fed a far greater variety of food than most loaches

I was asked on another forum what foods I feed my loaches and I shocked myself when I finally listed it all:
Frozen food's:
Prawns (diced or mashed)
Bloodworm
White and black midge larvae
Pacific Krill
Mysis Shrimp and brine shrimp
Cyclops
Daphnea
Lobster eggs
Malawi vegetarian mix
Garlic mix (has most of the above in and is infused with garlic)

Dry food's:
Spirulina, garlic and earthworm flake
Normal tropical flake
Sera discus granules
Sera vipagram
Promin
JMC catfish pellets
Nishi-Aquaria floating sticks and pellets
Hikari Cichlid Gold
Ocean Nutrition - Cichlid basic pellets
Algae wafers
Tetra wafers
Bloodworm, Squid, Shrimp, Green lipped mussel and Crab & Krill pellets
Ground Brineshrimp
Gammarus
