Best Magazine???
What's are some good fish magazines that are available in the US? I'm looking for Christmas gift ideas for myself.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Practical fishkeeper it must be said is very basic in its content ! the fish articles are usually a bit on the safe side i.e for instance if you were interested in say barbs , you could probarbly find the usual culprits i.e. Rosys ,Tigers , or Cherry's , never things like Lemonfins or Orphodes, or Stoliczkanus why this lack of adventure i've never understood , the Loach articles are pretty much the same ,perhaps there is no interest in the rarer species i can't say , BUT it could never be accused of promoting the newer fish around in the hobby today ! this is my opinion , i could never understand why after years of debating the origins of the Odessa Barb , the magazines didnt get excited when wild ones were imported ?

TFH all the way. I have also had FAMA and am currently subscribed to Aquarium fish mag.
TFH is by far the best. Lots of nice color photographs, tons of informative articles. The actual quality of the magazine is great to, it is binded like a book and the paper is of high quality to.
Aquarium fish magazine is also good- fewer articles for a slightly cheaper price. i recomend this also
FAMA- there are tons of good articles, but in my opinion, they go overboard on the advertisements, alot of times, literally half of each page is advertisements, it is like this through the whole mag, plus they have the usual advertisment section in the back, that is what really turns me off about this mag.

Clowns-6 is a group and more is never too many, providing the aquarium is large enough.
