Clown Loach tankmates

Post by Lono » Mon Nov 26, 2007 6:33 pm

hello all,
I have a 55 gal tank with 2-5"silver dollars, 1-5" red hook silver dollar, 1-2" bloodparrot and 4 -3" fat happy clown loaches...
I was thinking of adding perhaps a tiger or rosy barbs and maybe 2 redtailed botia..any recommendations?
thanks in advanced.

Welcome to LOL Lono!

I would put 2 extra clown loaches instead of 2 redtailed as loaches prefer larger groups.

Marcos.

I agree. You'll get better action out of your loaches if they have a social group.

Be warned though. A 55 gallon tank will eventually have to be upgraded to allow for clown loaches' relatively immense size and needs.
Your vantage point determines what you can see.
