Very true Mick. I'm not a kuhli man either, but many here seem to love them.

the first pic of the large Kub shows just how well they can fit into a sandy, mixed stone substrate. The Polka Dots blend in really sweetly.
drain your pool!

Good score there Mick. I used to have a kubotai just like that - I was in my LFS one day picking up some plants and of course checked out the fish too. As I was on my way out the door I thought to myself "well I'll glance in the kub tank one last time" and I saw in the corner the largest kub I've ever seen, it looked just like yours. Since I'm a member of this forum, you know damn well I bought it 8)
Here's something to tackle... After getting the large kub in with the rest of my kubs and fish, I found it hard to keep its stomach full. Being that it's much larger than my others it never got as much food as it desired since all the other fish gobbled it up just as quick. All of my fish are fat and getting plenty of food except for the large one - I didn't want to overfeed the tank. I tried several methods of directly shooting the fish some food, but of course after a few bites all other fish swarmed the area and sucked the food up :P . I have since lost the fish, it died while I was out of town for a week over Christmas. I've always felt guilty, as if the fish died from starvation since the tank quality was very stable at the time.
edit: that's my large kub in my avatar, the largest kub I've ever kept.
