Clown loaches in a 98 gallon tank should be fine for a few or so years. But i would strongly recommend you to hold of keeping any Clown loaches for a least 5-6 months, until your tank has matured properly.

You'll be fine with your initial stocking plans in that tank, although long term nine clowns would be too many. I'm considering it as the long term home for my four however.

LOL at getting it in the back of the car! Although my Golf is a bit bigger, I'd probably just get the tank delivered.

Provided it's a concrete slab floor don't worry about whether it can take the weight. I have a concrete slab floor and I have a 220 gallon, 125 and 55 gallon tank all in my living room of my apartment and all is fine. I'm glad you have the tank you wanted plus some. And as with any tank... you will never regret getting a bigger tank......well.... until you have to move it!!!!

Took some more pics but where it's cloudy after putting a load of ammonia last night it's gone rather cloudy today (which I'm hoping is bacteria?) so hopefully shuold be clear by friday when I'm picking up a load of plants to go in and will get some pics then

I'll be getting a bigger tank once we've bought 'our place, this is just to be a temporary home for a year or two.

I couldn't wait for the tank to be delivered as they had no slots free for a week or so

In a slight change to the plan I've taken all the faom out of the built in Juwel filter bar the bottom one and replced the contents with a load of mature media from my LFS to hopefully speed up the cycling process.

Here's a few more pics of the tank, still rather cloudy from the bacteria tho...
