Please Help : My lovely Loach

Post by Acqua » Sun Jun 04, 2006 11:11 pm

One of my Clown Loaches is being treated for Ich. Water quality (PH, Ammonia, Nitrites , is normal). It is the 3rd day of treatment. Though the white spots (Ich) are showing signs of fading away, but I am seeing a white layer on the loaches eye. It is not a pop-eye nor it is like fluid accumulation behind the eye or around the eye. It seems like a white slime layer. Is this also Ich ? Could please some on help.

some pics will help us all to figure out what's going on and if one loach has it, than ALL fish in the tank have been exposed and could easily get it. it's best to medicate the whole tank. make sure you're not using activated carbon... it'll absorb a lot of the active/main ingredients in the meds. which medication(s) are you using? temp? we need more information, water perams... all of that good stuff, but all of us here will love to help you.
many tanks...

got to love my fat little wobbly wigglies...
