These showed up at the LFS today labeled "Hong Kong Pleco" I'm looking at Liniparhomaloptera disparis disparis and glaniopsis multiradiata in the index. Leaning towards the glaniopsis. Does anyone have experience with either of these? I think I'll clear out one of my Q tanks in the morning and get a few.

Nice find!!
Since they came in as "Hong Kong Pleco" I would tend to think they are L. disparis. It might help to know if they came in with any other species. If they did, and those species were from China, that would tend to support them being L. disparis. If they came in with gastros or other fish from Borneo, I would think they are glaniopsis multiradiata . I don't think that species shows up very often though.
I have had experience keeping L. disparis as have a few others who
post here such as Martin and I think Graeme and Mark. They are a very cool little fish and will readily spawn. They will eat a wide variety of foods such as bloodworms, brine shrimp, shrimp pellets, algae wafers, par-boiled spinach leaves and algae.

Thanks for that quick reply Jim! There was a wee goby in the tank that came, I think, as a contaminant. It's interesting because it says in the index info that these sometimes come as contaminants with gobies. It's difficult to get background from this shop a they usually don't know ant their suppliers seem to be lacking also as things are so often misnamed.
I'm going to grab a few tomorrow. There were only 6 or so visible in the tank, two about 1 1/2 in and the rest were very small, maybe an inch. If I get them breeding maybe I can ship you some?

yeah you must get all that you can find as they are a great fish to have,
i have quite a few myself as well as a few offspring now.
as long as there's a good current and plenty of pebbles they should settle down without any probs.
i don't know about the other lads who have them but mine have a large clump of java fern that the fish love to rest on.

You need to get the Goby too. What incredible luck. Why don't my LFS get great fish like these? Augh!
