dojo loach and chinese algae eater questions

about 7 months ago i bought a dojo loach and a chinese algae eater. for the first few months there seemed to be no issues, but recently the algae eater chases the dojo relentlessly. i can't tell if this is playing or fighting. can someone please try to help clear this up.

If it`s a CAE then you can almost bet it`s out to kill. They get very nasty when they mature. SAEs are very much the opposite .
