Locating Vaillentella maassi

Post by marisseas » Thu Sep 10, 2009 4:13 pm

The fork tail loach is by far, one of my favorites. I've researched their care and requirements some time ago, and have never been successful of locating one. Someone from Aqualand emailed me saying he hadn't seen one in over five years! I'm getting close to desperate to find these amazing little guys. Can anyone help?

I bought a couple about 2 years ago and have only seen them twice... in my tank. They HIDE. I usually like a "Where's Waldo" sort of fish, but these guys are ridiculous!
Nice looking, when I have seen them, but they rank alongside Banjo Cats, and a very select few others for 'No-See-Ums'.
38 tanks, 2 ponds over 4000 liters of water to keep clean and fresh.

Happy fish keeping!

I have only seen the once and had some for a few years. They were also very reclusive.
Frank's Aquarium, online fish dealer, had them in the past, but does not have them at this time.
Good luck!!
