Substrate

Post by bolivia » Tue Oct 13, 2009 2:39 am

Hi, y'all!
My 30 gallon long is planted with a (mostly) flourite substrate. Is this soft enough to suit a few kuhlis?
If not, what's the best way to switch to a finer substrate in a fairly established aquarium?
Thanks,
- Olivia

Flourite is OK, but if you want to give them some sand to play in then just remove some Flourite in one area and fill that space with pool filter sand. Perhaps a band right in front about 3" x 6"?
38 tanks, 2 ponds over 4000 liters of water to keep clean and fresh.

Happy fish keeping!
