I found a couple of gorgeous youtube vids which showed golden loaches spawning behavior and actual egg release. what a privilege to see this....but it made me very sad, as well. My first two goldens were doing this same thing for a week or so....then the male got ill and died. The synchro swimming is one of the most gorgeous things I've ever seen, but I was not sure if that was spawning behavior...I guess it was.
Poor loachie mama, she's got two new loach friends, but it's been a week or so and they're not hanging out together *yet*.
I'm just glad to have seen that in person, and though sad to watch on youtube, it was really worth a peek...
