Flashing

Post by Wendie » Fri Aug 25, 2006 11:38 pm

I have one Yo Yo that is constantly flashing. When I say constantly, he's been doing this for quite some time now - actually since I got him a year ago. I have tried everything I can think of and am open to suggestions.

The readings are fine -
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 10
ph 7

No visible problems. Clean tank, no ick, nothing. No new fish, nothing new. It seems to be up around his gill area on one side only. Eats like a pig and acts fine except for the flashing or scratching in the sand.

Hey Wendie,

could it be he/she has something on the skin that bugs him there? Any visible tiny bumps like pimples, or rough patch on the skin? Something that wouldn't necessarily affect his health, but he finds irritating?

I don't see anything. I've taken some shots which I'll blow up and check.
