Botia kubotai

Post by Bustoff » Sun Mar 25, 2012 2:00 am

Need some advice. I have a 40 gal hillstream tank. Have about 10 various types of Hillsteam loaches(swellies, hong kong etc). My problem is i have a pond snail infestation. (must have hitch hiked from some java fern i bought at the LFS.) The pond snails are very small. Botia kubotai is the only loach that my LFShops sell.(They sell Clowns but they are out of the question) Will these loaches bother my Hillstreams? I would add the loaches and let them do there dirty work, then remove them to another tank.

Any help or advise would be appreciated.

thanks

IME kubotai are pretty friendly, and should not bother the other fish. Just the snails.
38 tanks, 2 ponds over 4000 liters of water to keep clean and fresh.

Happy fish keeping!
